My name is Veronica, my major is Early Childhood Education, I need 3 more years to get my associate's degree. I’m 21 years of age and graduated from J.W. Nixon in the year 2004. I took a year and a half off to discover what I wanted to do in life, in other words slack off. I regret that till this day that plan backfired and delayed me from my education. I’ve always wanted to be a Elementary teacher since I can remember. I took a home economics class in high school and I thought it was for cooking. I was wrong. The class introduced me to young children, the way they learn, how they interact with the world, and it include going to Los Pepitos Child Care center. The center really open my eyes to a new level and everyday that I went there I grew more attached to the environment. I’m single, unemployed, a dependent, I volunteer in Day Care Centers during summer unpaid. My family is helping me through college especially my father. He’s been a big help in my life, without his encouragement and support I would’ve never thought that being a teacher would be possible for me to accomplish.
My favorite hobbies are writing, reading, inventions with cooking, and watching wrestling if that is a hobby. I enjoy writing fictional stories and posting them on Deviant Art where other writers and readers give you feed back, pointers, and help. I love getting feed back it inspires me to become a better writer. I read fictional stories pertaining to romance and non-fictional when it involves true stories. Steven kings books takes you into another kind of emotions when your read his work of fiction from sad, alienating, scared, gruesome, to suspense or a great ending. Well not all his work is like that but I do enjoy those books from him. Reading gives me a chance to escape into another world where anything and everything is possible. I cook when I feel in a mood of an invention, for example, two weeks ago I made chili con carne, tomato salsa, marinated chicken pieces, with a hint of lime mixed together and a side order of Mexican rice. It tasted superb, even the family enjoyed it. From time to time they ask when I can make it again. I love to try new foods it gives me a relaxation feel to it. I love watching wrestling it gives me a thrill and excitement to see my favorite wrestlers perform. I already have them in my daily schedule Mondays is RAW, Tuesdays is ECW, and Fridays is Smack Down. On July 17th I got to see some of my favorite wrestlers at the Laredo Entertainment Center from Smack Down and ECW, it was a night to remember. When the wrestlers fight their opponent for a title of the Heavy Weight Belt or any title it makes me a confident person who can achieve anything if you set your mind to it especially when your favorite person wins.
